St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and whether you’re planning a big gathering or a cozy family dinner, the food is always a highlight. This year, I’ve curated three distinct menus to help you celebrate in style. Each menu covers everything – from classic Irish fare to modern twists and fun shareable options.

No matter your preference, there’s a menu here for you!

Menu 1: Timeless traditional

For those who crave the comforting classics, this menu is a celebration of traditional Irish cuisine. It’s hearty, satisfying, and guaranteed to warm you from the inside out.

  • Main Course: Dutch Oven Shepherd’s Pie. This iconic dish epitomizes comfort food, with its savory meat filling and creamy mashed potato topping.
  • Side 1: Roasted Vegetables. Serve it alongside oven-roasted vegetables for a colorful and nutritious addition.
  • Side 2: Irish Soda Bread. Don’t forget a side of crusty Irish soda bread!
  • Dessert: Bailey’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwiches. These decadent treats combine the best of both worlds: chewy chocolate chip cookies and a creamy Bailey’s Irish Cream buttercream.

Menu 2: A modern feast

This St. Patrick’s Day menu is fresh and contemporary with an Italian spin (not traditional, but pesto makes it festive and green). It’s perfect for those who want a lighter and simple throw-together meal. There are even two dessert options that can be made ahead of time!

  • Appetizer: Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Crostini. This creamy, cheesy dip is always a crowd-pleaser, and along with toasted baguette slices, it’s the perfect green appetizer. Optionally, you can go for store-bought spinach artichoke dip, top with cheese, and bake in the oven till golden and bubbly.
  • Main Course: Tortellini, Green Beans, Cherry Tomatoes, and Pesto Chicken. This vibrant green dish celebrates fresh flavors and colors, a delightful departure from heavier St. Patrick’s Day staples. The one-pan preparation makes it a breeze to put together, thanks to the help of store-bought pesto and tortellini.
  • Dessert 1: No-Bake Chocolate Mint Cream Pies. These easy individual desserts are the perfect blend of rich chocolate and refreshing mint, a delightful way to end the meal.
  • Dessert 2: Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheesecake. And for the cheesecake lovers, a Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheesecake adds a touch of grown-up indulgence.

Menu 3: Irish charcuterie board dinner

This menu is all about sharing and celebrating together. It’s perfect for a casual gathering with friends and family, offering a fun and interactive dining experience.

  • Main Event: Irish Sliders Charcuterie Board. This impressive spread features cheesy Irish sliders as the centerpiece, surrounded by a variety of delicious accompaniments. The sliders themselves are easy to make and packed with flavor.
  • Side Dish: Irish Cheddar Bacon Mac and Cheese. This creamy, cheesy mac and cheese is elevated with the addition of Irish cheddar and crispy bacon, creating a truly irresistible side dish. Better yet, it can be made in the instant pot!
  • Dessert: Shamrock Shakes. These iconic green shakes are a must-have for any St. Patrick’s Day celebration and are perfect for kids. This recipe also doesn’t include green dye but instead uses fresh mint for a natural, subtle green hue.

No matter which menu you choose, I hope you have a wonderful and delicious St. Patrick’s Day celebration! Don’t forget to add your own personal touches to make it extra special. Share your St. Patrick’s Day recipes below.

Happy cooking!

Sadly, the picture of the first main course does not match the recipe link. Where can I get the recipe for the first item pictured in this article? Thanks!
