Trending: Sundress fashions for 2025 (that you can wear to church!)
Published on April 7, 2025

There’s nothing more iconic, dreamy, and comfortable to outlast the summer heat than the sundress.
We’re sharing our favorites.
They are not only adorable but also church-appropriate, so you can look (and feel) your best any day this summer!
A summer classic
Popularized in the 1940s for their lightweight, feminine, and effortless look, sundresses are a lasting wardrobe staple. Made from breezy fabrics like cotton or linen, the sundress has evolved into endless styles, usually falling knee- to midi-length, with thin straps or short sleeves.
All of these lovely numbers we’ve found can be dressed up or down depending on the function (try espadrilles or heeled-sandals). What’s more, sleeveless options can be seamlessly paired with a cropped cardigan, jacket, or light pashmina for maximum coverage.
Bonus: Many of these shops are committed to promoting sustainability and ethical labor practices along with clothing production – another reason to love these dresses!

Spaghetti straps, and tight fitting bodices should not be worn during Mass. I’m really not a fuddy duddy, but someone needs to wake people up. It is your fault if by looking at you, because of your attire, makes men lust. Yes men are ultimately responsible, but you do play a part when too tight or not enough coverage in clothing. Now if you’re wearing these dresses with a jacket or sweater during Mass, then they are beautiful😉
I agree with you Mary O’Donnell.
Just layer something over the top. It will still be lovely, and show that we are lovely inside as well – by caring for our “neighbor’s” chastity of the eyes.
