A constitution studies scholarship? As our country gets ready to celebrate its 250th birthday, there’s no better time to help our kids fall in love with the Constitution – and understand why it matters.

If you’re like me, you’re always on the lookout for ways to help your teens not only get a great education but also grow into thoughtful, patriotic adults. That’s why I’m excited about this scholarship opportunity from CatholicVote and the Foundation for the Restoration of America.

They’re offering $100,000 in scholarships – including two big awards of $10,000 each – to students who take a free, online Constitution course from Hillsdale College. It’s a simple way for high school or college-age kids to deepen their understanding of our nation’s founding and earn money toward college, trade school, or even private high school tuition. (Even better? Your kids can include course completion on their college applications!)

It’s one of those rare “yes, please” opportunities: learn something meaningful and get help paying for school. The program is refreshingly simple. Students ages 16 and up – whether in high school, college, or trade school – can take free, self-paced online Constitution courses from Hillsdale College. After passing a test and submitting certificates of completion, they can apply for scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $10,000. That money can be used toward tuition at virtually any educational institution, including private high schools.

The Constitution Studies program doesn’t just hand out money – it fosters informed, virtuous citizenship rooted in truth, justice, and liberty.

“Understanding the Constitution is not just about knowing our rights,” says Kelsey Reinhardt, CatholicVote President. “It’s about preparing the next generation to defend the dignity of the person and the common good.”

The next scholarship deadline is June 31, with another opportunity in January 2026. For parents looking to inspire patriotism, make education more affordable, and reinforce timeless values, this program is a win-win.
